The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has expressed grief over the death of its Ogun Sector Commander, Oludare Ogunjobi.

It said the days were difficult for the corps based on the recent tragedies it had witnessed.

The Corps Marshal, Malam Shehu Mohammed, conveyed the condolences in a statement issued by Corps Public Education Officer Osondu Ohaeri on Sunday in Abuja.

Mohammed said Ogunjobi’s death had deepened the Corps’ grief as it continued mourning former Corps Marshal Dauda Biu.

He extended condolences to Ogunjobi’s family, officers and marshals of the Ogun Sector Command, and others whose lives the deceased had touched.

The Corps Marshal described the successive losses as difficult moments for an institution whose personnel had dedicated their lives to saving others.

“There are moments when words become inadequate to express the depth of our grief. This is one of such moments for the FRSC.

“Just as we struggle to come to terms with the loss of our former Corps Marshal, Dauda Biu, the death of CC Oludare Ogunjobi reminds us of life’s fragility.

“It also reminds us how deeply the loss of a colleague can affect an entire family.

“These are difficult days for us as an institution, and our hearts are heavy,” he said.

Mohammed said officers belonged to a larger family united by shared sacrifices, common purpose and commitment to saving lives on Nigerian roads.

He added that losing a colleague affected the entire Corps because of the bonds forged through service and shared responsibilities.

The Corps Marshal urged officers and marshals, particularly those in the Ogun Sector Command, to remain united and draw strength from their commitment to humanity.

He prayed for Ogunjobi’s peaceful repose and asked Almighty God to comfort his immediate family and strengthen them through the loss.

Mohammed also prayed for divine comfort for the entire FRSC family as it navigated the difficult period of mourning.

He said death might silence a voice and end a journey but could not erase the memories, relationships and contributions of a life dedicated to service.
