Afrobeats singer Mayowa Emmanuel, popularly known as Mayorkun, has celebrated 10 years in the music industry.
The singer announced the milestone on Monday through his verified X account, where he shared photographs alongside a brief message.
He wrote: “10 year’s! 1 Mayor”
Mayorkun rose to prominence in 2016 after signing with Davido Music Worldwide (DMW) and releasing his debut single, “Eleko.”
He went on to release two studio albums, *The Mayor of Lagos* (2018) and *Back in Office* (2021), as well as several hit singles.
In 2021, the singer exited DMW to pursue an independent music career and has since continued releasing new songs while performing at concerts in Nigeria and abroad.
