Even as he is excited at garnering record one billion streams in the United Kingdom, Burna Boy has challenged his fellow Africans to always be ready to fight for their right.
He seems to be particular about the need to break boundaries in one’s career.
The feat makes Burna the first African to reach two billion streams in the United Kingdom.
He received a Brit plaque at his sold-out show at Koko Camden in London, marking this impressive feat.
This achievement comes just weeks after he was presented with a Brit 1 billion streams plaque at his sold-out show at the London Stadium.
Burna Boy’s message of perseverance and fighting for one’s rights resonated as he accepted the award.
He said: “Thank you very much. I appreciate you. Ehen, now that’s it. You’ve to fight for your right.”
One of the presenters inferred: “You already have it. You don’t need to fight.”
Burna Boy rebuffed: “No. You know, we have to fight for our rights.”
