Dayo, a daughter of theatre legend, the late Hubert Ogunde, and the entire family are in a mourning mood following the death of his firstborn, George Ogunde.
In a Facebook post on Sunday, Dayo announced the death, saying the departure was a painful one.
Her post reads: “It’s hard to say goodbye Brother mi, our first child in the Ogunde clan. But we take solace in the fact that you are in a better place.
“You were such a wonderful and friendly soul. May your soul continue to rest in the bosom of your maker.
“Goodnight George Ogunde.
“Omo Gbegande Esiwu Ijoku.’
Chief Hubert Ogunde, producer of iconic films like ‘Aiye’ and ‘Jaiyesinmi’, died in 1990.
