Real Madrid blinked no eye in cutting short the dream of Borussia Dortmund  to get the UEFA Champions League trophy on Saturday.

The Spanish behemoth beat the German club club 2-0, with both goals coming in the second half.

Dortmund flashed hope in the first half but could not convert the chances they created.

In the second half, however, Madrid overwhelmed them, often breaking through the wings especially the left where Vinicius Jnr was practically vicious.

He got the second goal while  Dani Carvajal secured the first.

The much-anticipated match was played at the Wembley Stadium.

With Saturday’s feat, Real Madrid has now won the UEFA Champions League a record 15 times, with their last victory in the 2021-2022 season.

Meanwhile, Dortmund secured their only Champions League title in 1997.
