It is a new era as far as weddings are concerned in the Redeemed Christian Church of God.

Simply put, the era of ‘indecent dressings’ is over.
The General Overseer of the church, Pastor EA Adeboye, has ordered that its pastors inspect the wedding dresses of brides-to-be before marriage.

This is coming from the ongoing monthly programme at the Redeemed Camp, Mowe, Ogun State.

One of the multitude in attendance, Segun Ajayi, who is a seasoned journalist, relayed the hint in a Facebook post early Saturday:

RCCG pastors to inspect wedding dresses before joining couples

Right now at the Redemption camp, the General Overseer of the RCCG, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has read the riot act to pastors who join “indecently” dressed couples in holy matrimony.

He, therefore, ordered the pastors to inspect the wedding gowns, bridesmaids’ dresses and men’s suits three days to the wedding to ensure they are not provocatively sewn.

Addressing congregants during this month’s Holy Ghost service, Pastor Adeboye said any pastor who flouts the order faces one-year sanction and demotion by two steps.

The cleric who bemoaned indecent dressing among today’s youths noted the practice detracts from the RCCG which was founded on “holiness”
