Barcelona have confirmed that Lyon striker Memphis Depay has joined the Catalan giants
Memphis Depay has joined Barcelona on a two year deal, the club have confirmed.
Some soccer analysts see the marriage as potentially good for the club and particularly Barca’s idol, Lionel Messi, whom they believe benefit from Depay’s support.
The Dutchman had made no secret of his desire to be reunited with Ronald Koeman and he will now get his wish. The Dutch forward had been at Lyon since moving there in January 2017 from Man Utd.
During his time in France, he made the Champions League semi-finals in 2019/20 and he also played in the French Cup final which Lyon lost on penalties to PSG.
The 27 year-old is the latest player to join Barcelona after the signings of Wijnaldum, Aguero and Emerson.
