The Ogun Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps (TRACE) has warned traders to remove their goods from walkways and roadside on or before April 30 or have their goods confiscated.
Mr Babatunde Akinbiyi, the Spokesperson of TRACE gave the warning in a statement on Wednesday in Abeokuta.
Akinbiyi, who warned traders in the state to desist from illegal display of goods on walkways and roadside, said those who failed to comply should be ready to face prosecution.
He advised them to make use of approved market stalls and shops constructed by government for sanity to prevail on the state’s traffic corridors.
“It has been observed that traders of all sorts of goods and wares have in recent past turned roadside and walkways, meant for pedestrians across the state into trading lots and market yards.
“This unwholesome activity has made a mockery of government’s effort to ensure and guarantee the safety of all road users, particularly pedestrians.
“It has also become a nuisance and a harmful disposition to road users,” Akinbiyi said.
