All Progressives candidate in yesterday’s senatorial election in Ekiti South, Dayo Adeyeye, has defeated his opponent in the Peoples Democratic Party, Biodun Olujinmi.
According to the News Agency of Nigeria
, the Returning Officer for Ekiti South Senatorial District, Prof. Laide Lawal, on Sunday announced APC’s candidate, Dayo Adeyeye, as the winner of the election.
He said the APC flag bearer polled 77,621 votes to defeat the current Senate Minority Leader, Senator Biodun Olujimi of the PDP, who scored 53,741 votes.
