Tens of fellow horns players celebrated the late Joel, former saxophonist of fuji icon, Wasiu Ayinde, Ki de Ultimate, on Tuesday.

The feast of horns marked the final departure of the instrumentalist who passed on last week.

After a church service attended by members of his family, friends and associates, Joel’s remains were taken to the Atan Cemetery, Yaba, where they were buried.

Joel had played for Wasiu for some two decades, with his presence in the musician’s group described as being symbolic because  he contributed to K1’s desire to transform the traditional genre.

Commenting on his passage last week,  KI’s publicist, Kunle Rasheed, said the musician was very pained and had to cancel all his engagements for the week
