The drama characterising politics in Ogun State took another dimension today as the leadership of the Peoples Deputy Party has presented Mr. Ladi Adebutu with the symbolic party flag, to enable him to contest the Ogun State governorship election on the platform of the PDP.
By this, the party has shunned the threat constituted by the candidacy of Senator Buruji Kashamu, earlier recognised by INEC based on a court judgement.
Also in Abuja, PDP presented similar flags to Mr. Jimi Agbaje and Seyin Makinde, as its respective candidates in Lagos and Oyo states.
In the All Progressives Congress too, there is sharp division over who bears the party’s flag, with the national leadership and Governor Ibikunle Amosun at loggerheads.
