Like play, lke play, acclaimed rapper, Olamide, has proved that his is a talent destined not only to stay but also attract to him the very best things in life.
Here is a once-upon slum (Bariga) hustler – hustling with his voice – who has stamped his authority on the sand of time. It is an understatement to say he has arrived, having remained on top of the game for going to 10 good years.
On Wednesday he could no more hold his riches onto himself. Hence, like several other artistes that have arrived, he took to his Instagram page and shared a photo in which he stylishly posed with his Bentley.
An intelligent though arguably a noisy composer – he has not done many of a cool song like ‘Melomelo… –  he stormed the scene when he released E ni Duro, a daring work in the video of which the director ensured he set himself ablaze.
When he did this,  anybody hardly knew that he had simply ignited limelight while also burning poverty forever and ever.
Olamide’s story will be told ono and on till only God knows. More than a chip off Da Grin’s block, he has taken indigenous rap to a height that no Nigerian musician had done before.
Fromphenomenallagos, happy Bentley life, Badoo.
