“The richest man in Africa is from Nigeria but Nigeria is the poverty capital of the world.”
These are the words of the Emir of Kano, HRM Sanusi Lamido, while expressing concern about the contradictions that define the Nigerian polity.
He made the observation during the presentation of a book written by Mr. Segun Adeniyi, former spokesperson of a former Head of State, the late Umaru Yar’Adua.
The Emir also expressed worries at the idea of some western leaders who want free trade but are curtailing migration.
