Controversial critic, Daniel Regha, weighed in on a debate going on on the statuses of artistes Lil Kesh and Asake.
A viral clip on has fans placing the musician’s music videos next to each other, highlighting their best works from their prime.
While many appreciated both artistes, some favoured Lil Kesh, noting his numerous hits.
Regha, who decided to give his own opinion, stated that both had their time to shine, and it’s not right to compare them:
“Prime Lil Kesh was a sensation which no one can deny, but comparing him to Asake is unnecessary cos Asake might not have reached his prime yet. And, even if he has, the comparison is still kinda pointless since both thrived in different times.
“It’s not easy to maintain relevance in this streaming era & Asake has managed to do just that, which simply proves that he could’ve easily thrived in the mid or late 2010s.”
