There is a twist to the anti-corruption battle in Nigeria as the Acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Ibrahim Magu, has been arrested by the Department of State Services.
His Media Adviser, Tony Amokeodo, has confirmed the development, saying his boss had been invited by the DSS.
There have been reports in recent times that Magu has some questions to answer over how he allegedly handled certain matters, but the Presidency has not made any statement on this.
Magu was said to have been arrested on Monday afternoon.
