Speculations are now over as 15 Chinese doctors have finally arrived Nigeria.
They are part of the Buhari government’s plan for battling coronavirus, although the idea of bringing them has sparked much controversy.
The Nigerian Medical Association had risen against their coming while many stakeholders too said Nigeria did not need them.
The government, however, said they were coming on information-sharing and capacity-building mission and not to treat patients.
The doctors were received at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, by the Chinese Ambassador to Nigeria, Dr Zhou Pingjian; Executive Director, China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation and Mr Jacques Liao.
Others were officials of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Health.
