Popular actor, Charles Inojie, has reflected on the death of his former screen maker in the TV drama, ‘The Johnsons’, Ada Ameh.

He recalled hos central Ameh was to the show but said it was not her death that stopped it.

In an interview with ‘The Nation’, Inojie argued that ‘Mr Johnsons’ might simply have left when ovation was loudes.

He said: “I don’t want to agree that it was the death of Ada Ameh that necessitated the end of the show. Ada Ameh’s death was devastating, it was big enough to end the show the day the news broke, but as a team of cast and crew in agreement with the producers, we told ourselves that the best way we could celebrate her legacy was not to let the show also die because Ada Ameh was someone who loved that show so much.

” I don’t know if those who leave, when they get to heaven, still see what happens here. We felt that it would not be nice for Ada to know that the show is no longer on. So, we agreed as a consensus that we would continue with the show, and we did for two more seasons after her death. We did two years after her death. I am not particularly sure why the show ended because there was no official communication to that effect but as someone who has been on that project since inception till its end, my understanding would be that if care was not taken, the show would start to struggle principally because a lot of the children are all grown moving on with their lives.

“You can’t stop people from embracing fresh challenges that life has thrown at them. We had this issue of continuous changing of cast and all that, and if you are not careful for a show as popular as that, it can begin to dip or water down the essence. My thinking would be that maybe the producer just felt it would be best to quit when the ovation is loudest, before the show begins to suffer low patronage; probably, what happened was the best thing to happen.”

Popular actor, Charles Inojie, has finally broken his silence over the death of his ‘wife’ in ‘The Johnsons’ series, Ada Ameh, who died on Sunday after slumping.

Her death has sparked widespread grief, with many people paying glowing tributes to her.

Inojie, however, says he had to wait till later to ascertain if it is true she is no more.

He notes in a statement on behalf of the group:

It has taken a while to authenticate this sad news before going public under advisement from Ada’s manager who was on his way to Warri to secure physical confirmation of the horrible news that hit us all this morning. He has just called in from Warri and sadly he has confirmed our worst fears… Our beloved Emuakpor Johnson is no more!

It is with deep sense of loss, total submission to the will of God, that Native Media Tv, cast and crew of @theofficialthejohnsons painfully announce the passing of our dear sister, friend, colleague and Matriarch of The Johnsons clan Ada Obande Ameh (aka Emuakpor Johnson).

To all our teeming fans around the world, we have truly lost a rare and vibrant gem, but celebrate the life of an icon who daily put smiles on every face and spread love in every home. Together, we join our voices with yours to offer prayers on behalf of the family. May God grant them the fortitude to bear this irreplaceable loss. ADA, You will be missed but your memory will live on in our hearts forever. We love you

Although Toyin Osigbesan is relatively young in age and marriage, she has what she believes are the pillars of a great marriage.

She also believes there is a manual for a good matrimonial union, and she is eager to share this especially that crises are rocking a lot of homes.

Some celebrities, like comedian Nedu and star singer Tuface, have stories to tell in this light.

In an IG post on Thursday, Toyin, posing with his husband, writes:

Marriage! A BLESSING not a curse.
Husband, love your wife.
Wife, submit to your husband.
Trust ( be open, no secrets, be faithful)
Forgiveness (be ready to forgive anything at all times)

That’s almost all that makes marriage work
Marriage becomes difficult and unbearable when YOU DO NOT abide by its rules.

NO ONE can or will put asunder except THE TWO OF YOU!!!
