Ezekiel Onyedikachukwu, estranged manager of gospel act Mercy Chinwo, has recounted sacrifices he allegedly made to see the artiste to stardom.

He said so as he denied defrauding her to the tune of $345,000 as alleged by Chinwo.

He said, rather, he had seen some $625,000 get into her account in the course of their business.

In a post on Saturday, he averred:

As  Catholic priest in the Abuja Archdiocese, Rev. Fr. Chinenye Oluoma, accuses gospel artiste Mercy Chinwo of allegedly demanding up to N10m to perform in a church, another cleric has spoken for her.

Pastor of Covenant Church, Poju Oyemade, said it was a lie that Chinwo chaeges that much.

In a video making the rounds on social media, Oluoma said Christians had made worship too expensive.

He said: “We have made religious worship expensive. If I have to bring Mercy Chinwo to come here and sing, how much will I pay her? How much does a gospel artiste of Mercy Chinwo’s status charge to come to an event or in a Church, it has reached N10m now.

This is the tragedy that we have turned Christianity into, that an artiste will come to a church and lead in ten minutes praise and worship for N10m, N5m. So if that particular artiste doesn’t sing Jesus you love me too much, that means God didn’t love you too much? And some people are asking should they be paid? Why wouldn’t you pay them? If you must bring them you must pay them because what you are bringing them for is entertainment. We have turned worship into entertainment.

We have copied the world. In those days, those who composed songs we are still using for worshipping nobody even knows them,” he said

But reacting in a tweet on Thursday, Oyemaje noted:

Sensational female gospel artiste, Mercy Chinwo, has turned deaf ears to those criticising her for her constant show-off since she got married to her lover, Pastor Blessed.

Mercy, responded to the hues and cries by further celebrating her man.

Interestingly, one of the celebrities who honoured her for doing so is actress Nkechi Blessing.

This is despite her newly expressed though that many relationships flaunted online are fake.

Nkechi expressed this on TVC’s ‘Your View’ on Thursday.

In a post Mercy shared on Instagram moments to mark her one-month wedding anniversary, she wrote:

GISTLOVER had however recalled in a story that Maria Ude Nwachi, a lawmaker representing Afikpo North-East in Ebonyi State House of Assembly, had issued a public warning to Chinwo and her husband, Pastor Blessed, after the gospel singer flaunted the brand new car gift she was given by her husband for her birthday.

Blessed Uzochikwa had surprised Mercy Chinwo with an SUV as a birthday gift and an excited Mercy Chinwo flaunted the gift on social media and urged her fans to thank him on her behalf; an act that did not sit down well with Maria Ude Nwachi.

Airing her displeasure on the act on Facebook, the lawmaker chided Mercy Chinwo for the “unnecessary show off.”

Just-wedded gospel artiste, Mercy Chinwo, has shown appreciation to entertainment businessman, Obi Cubana, for attending her wedding.

The wedding was the talk of the weekend as many stormed Port Harcourt in Rivers State to show support and love for the artiste.

Among those there was Obi Cubana.

The Cubana group founder shared a video on his Instagram page where he and his wife celebrated and congratulated Mercy Chinwo and her husband.

– Her partner on the other hand appreciated her for accepting his proposal saying he’s the man God has shown Mercy as he’s set to spend the rest of his life with the woman he loves and it’s a blessing that she accepted to walk the journey with him.

Nigerian gospel singer, Mercy Chinwo received a car gift as she turned 29 years old Thursday

The singer who could not held back her excitement over the unexpected gift, took to her instragram handle @mercychinwo to express how joyful she was.

“What exactly did I do to deserve all the LOVE. What did I do to you people o @eezeeconceptz.

Chinwo got the birthday gift from her management company in the present of some entertainers which include Josh 2 Funny, Apeh Harrison and Chris Morgan.

The honor winning gospel vocalist and musician also celebrated her birthday with another artful culmination brand new single titled “Akamdinelu”.

The lyric of the new single “AKAMDINELU,”which simply mean’My hand is lifted up’ talks about the lifting up of hands in worship to the Almighty God.

Chinwo, a powerful vocalist and a renowned songstress in the Nigerian music industry, she entered limelight in 2012 after winning the Season 2 of popular talent show ‘ Nigerian Idols.’

The EeZee Conceptz signed artiste, who is famed for her global worship anthem “Excess Love,” would hit the airwaves with the new track following her lauded single “Oh Jesus,” released earlier this year.

Chinwo developed into acting and featured in Yvonne Nelson’s film, House of Gold, where he starred alongside with Majid Michel, Omawumi and Yvonne Nelson herself.

She subsequently signed a record deal with EeZee Conceptz record label, owned by Mr. Ezekiel ThankGod (Eezee Tee).

The EeZee Tee also managed popular singers including Frank Edwards, Preye Odede and Hilda Dokubo.

According to her, before officially launching her musical career, she lent her voice to popular artists, Sammie Okposo, Joe Praize, Buchi, Chris Morgan and Preye.

In 2015, Chinwo released her first single titled “Testimony”, then followed up a year later with the release of another single titled “Igwe”.

The song that has arguably won her more recognition is “Excess Love”, which she released in June 2018.

‘Excess love’ earned her nationwide recognition and sealed her status as one of the best vocalists in Nigerian Gospel music industry.

The Port Harcourt born singer and songwriter recording artiste has contributed to the gospel music industry with her numerous mind blowing songs.

Chinwo has dropped many hit songs which include Testimony (2015) Igwe (2016) Excess Love (2018) No More Pain (2018) CHINEDUM (2018) Power Belongs To Jesus (2019) Oh Jesus! (2019).

Chinwo won the award for Best Gospel Artiste at the CLIMAX Awards 2018.

In 2019, at the maiden edition of the Africa Gospel Awards Festival (AGAFEST), she won awards in three different categories for her song “Excess Love” beating the likes of Sinach, Prospa Chimana and Tim Godfrey.
