As authorities of Ladoke Akintola University, Ogbomoso, confirm the death of two students in an accident that occurred on September 27, one of the victims has been identified as Faith Adedoyin, the first son of Majority Leader, Oyo State House of Assembly, Sanjo Adedoyin.

The crash occurred on Wednesday evening, September 27, around Ilobu-Okinni-Osogbo in Osun State while the 500-level Accounting student was returning alongside other students from their visit to the Erin-Ijesa Waterfall.

Public Relations Officer of the institution, Lekan Fadeyi, confirmed the incident in a statement on Thursday, September 28.

“The students were mainly from the accounting department of the University and were reported to have travelled in two vehicles.

“The Acting Vice-Chancellor of the University, Professor Razaq Olatunde Kalilu, Professor Kalilu while mourning the passage of two of the students and driver of the bus commiserate with parents of the dead ones among them and prayed that God grants those surviving them the fortitude to bear the loss

“He also prayed for divine healing for those still receiving medical attention in the various hospitals.”
