<p> Abia State Government has released details of a coronavirus cases who escaped from an isolation centre.</p>
<p>It, on Friday, released photos and other identities of the man called Emmanuel Ononiwu.</p>
<p>The details are thus (sic):</p>
<p> &#8220;Wanted Person: Emmanuel Ononiwu. These are file pictures of Emmanuel Ononiwu who was declared wanted by Abia State Government after he tested positive to COVID-19 and absconded from a holding center in Aba prior to being moved into isolation.</p>
<p>&#8220;He is a generator mechanic, uses a Mercedes V-Boot car, previously used a Mercedes 190 brand and is believed to be from Ikeduru LGA of Imo State but resident in Aba.</p>
<p>&#8220;If seen, please call 0700 2242 362 and do not approach him physically without adequate protection to avoid being infected with COVID-19. </p>
<p>&#8220;All enforcement units at the borders and security checkpoints are hereby notified to be on the look out for him as there are indications he is planning to flee the state.&#8221;</p>

<p>A coronavirus patient has created anxiety in Asia State as he has escaped from isolation.</p>

<p> The man is identified as Mr. Emmanuel Ononiwu and he is said to have  refused to submit himself for appropriate medical management and isolation.</p>
<p>Abia State Commissioner of Information, Chief John Okiyi-Kalu,said in a statement on Thursday s that Ononiwu, a resident of Aba, Abia state, escaped from a temporary holding facility in Aba prior to his movement to an isolation centre after being informed of his COVID-19 status.<br />

“If seen anywhere, please report to the nearest security agency or call 0700 2242 362, but do not approach him without full protection to avoid infection,&#8221; he said.</p>
<p>“Enforcement teams all over the state are also advised to be on the look out and take him in as soon as he is found.</p>
<p>“All those who had contact with him in the past 14 days are strongly advised to call 0700 2242 362 and submit themselves for testing.</p>
<p> “We strongly advise all citizens and residents to be vigilant and take necessary measures to protect themselves.</p>
<p> “Do not leave your house without wearing your face mask appropriately and ensure you maintain social distance at all times.</p>
<p> “COVID-19 is real and if we take responsibility as individuals we can win the battle against the virus in our state and country.”</p>
