Adeboye reveals 3 circumstances that will surround his death

Nobody may need to explain the last moments of the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, as he has foretold such.

He gave at least three elements that will mark his departure.

According to him, it will be on a Sunday.

Secondly, it will happen after he has eaten pounded yam, which he called his beloved food.

The third, the cleric said, was that he would not be sick, saying his death would also be painless.

Adeboye revealed these on the fourth day of the church’s ongoing International Convention themed “The Overcomers”.

He said: “I will die on a Sunday after attending service, eat my beloved pounded yam, and then pass on without any sickness,” he declared.

The cleric noted that he first shared this vision two years ago and was repeating it to reassure believers that death can be peaceful for those in Christ.

Delivering a sermon titled “Possess Your Possessions”, Adeboye urged Christians to actively claim what is rightfully theirs in Christ, warning that spiritual blessings often have to be fought for.

Drawing from the biblical story of the Israelites taking the Promised Land, he said:

“In many cases, you may have to fight for things that are already yours.”

He listed healing, prosperity, fruitfulness, and long life as areas where believers must resist spiritual opposition.

“Your greatest friend, Jesus Christ, paid a great price to purchase your healing. Yet there is a thief who comes to steal, kill, and destroy,” he said, citing John 10:10. “Long life is yours, but the devil wants to kill you with all he has. You must fight to live.”

On prosperity, Adeboye declared:

“The One who owns the earth and its fullness, and owns all the silver and gold, paid a terrible price so that you wouldn’t be poor. As long as you want to remain poor, you will remain poor.”

He criticised the double standard faced by successful Christians:

“If you make it as a Christian, they criticise you. If you die poor, they say, ‘Where’s your God?’”

Referencing biblical figures like Rachel and Hannah, who overcame barrenness through persistent prayer, he urged believers to reject all forms of spiritual oppression.

“It is what we tolerate that disturbs us. Stop tolerating sickness, poverty, barrenness, or premature death. Fight to possess your possessions, it’s your spiritual duty, made possible by Christ’s sacrifice.”

Adeboye on Dangote refinery frustrations: ‘Are we under a curse?’

The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has wondered if Nigeria is under a curse over the way business mogul, Aliko Dangote, is believed to be suffering victimisation by oil cabals who are allegedly holding down his refinery.

The cleric believes the oil cabals in Nigeria are working alongside international oil companies (IOCs) to undermine the operations the Lagos-based mega Dangote Petroleum Refinery.

During his address at the November 2024 Abuja Special Holy Ghost service, Adeboye called on Nigerians to pray for divine intervention against the actions of unscrupulous oil marketers who are intent on causing hardship for the masses.

The cleric said that oil marketers are working hard to obstruct Dangote refinery’s operations, following previous sabotage incidents affecting Nigeria’s four state-owned refineries.

Adeboye told his congregation that it was God who inspired Aliko Dangote to create a refinery after many unsuccessful attempts to revive the country’s four public refineries, which had wasted billions of Naira with minimal success.

He raised concerns about the continued reliance on fuel imports, despite Nigeria being a significant crude oil producer.

Adeboye said: “Are we under a curse? We have four refineries, we poured all kinds of money into them, none of them is working.

“But God raised someone to build a refinery that works. He is not my relative; he is not from my village. He is not even a Christian, but he is a Nigerian who says, ‘Why should my people suffer when I have the means to build a refinery that can work?’ Now he is refining petrol, and some people want to stop him from selling it, so they can keep importing.”

It’s easier to defeat the devil than do a girl smiling at you – Adeboye

The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor EA Adeboye, has made a candid declaration about the battle against sex.

According to him, it is easier to defeat the devil than do a girl smiling at one.

His solution to this is to run away from any form of sexual temptation, adding that, at 82 and despite his anointing, he still runs faster than ever before.

According to ‘The Punch’, he stated these during a sermon at the just concluded Ministers & Workers Conference of RCCG America 1, which consists of North, Central & Caribbean with the theme: “The Glory Ahead”.

During the sermon shared on his YouTube page on Friday, Adeboye noted that Samson, who was a judge in Israel, fell into sexual immorality despite the anointing over him.

He said, “Somebody says, at your age, why are you still running? I run faster than before because the closer you get to the finishing point, the more careful you must be.

“Some of you can say, ‘Daddy, what are you saying, are you still running?’ I run fast.

“‘With all your anointing?’ Does anointing turn your body to stone? Samson was anointed. Single-handedly, he killed a thousand soldiers. A woman finished him. I hope the boys are listening.

“You can say, ‘Is anybody still interested in an 82-year-old man?’ She is not interested in you but interested in putting an end to all the great works God has done through you.

“You see that woman smiling at you everywhere you go, she is there smiling, and she is not your wife, run.”

Adeboye also counselled youths to be careful of lust, urging them to run away from anything that looks like sin.

He added, “And you girls, when you see a boy smiling at you saying, ‘Where have you been all my life? It looks as if the sun has just come out.’

“He is calling you sunshine. By the time he finishes with you, you won’t even know the difference between sunshine and sunset. You may laugh but mark my words.

“I do warn my children, particularly the boys. I said if the devil comes against you, tell the devil to get lost, but when you see a girl smiling at you in a funny way, run because you can’t win the battle.

“Didn’t you read a report that a man committed an offence about 42 years ago, and now his ministry is finished? Anybody who tells you that whatever you do is hidden, it’s hidden until the wind begins to blow.

“The Bible says, flee youthful lust. It did not ask you to say grace would be sufficient. There is no grace for what God says you should run from. Maybe grace to run.”

2024: Adeboye releases prophesies on economic hardship, cancer, others

The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has prophesied on major issues like the economic hardship in Nigeria and major diseases that include cancer.

While recent policy change has compounded socio-economic crises in the country, cancer continues to wreak havovs globally, with former Governor of Ondo State, Rotimi Akeredolu, being the latest public figures to have fallen casualty.

But Adeboye assured Nigerians that things will get better in 2024.

The cleric, while giving his prophesies for 2024 during the crossover night service on Sunday at the Redemption Citiy along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, however, said before getting better, things would first get worse.

‘The Punch’ quotes him as saying: “For Nigeria, the wind is already blowing. The wind is blowing.

“Everything God is saying is centred around that little sentence. The wind is blowing, include in your prayers that the wind will blow you well.

“Things will get worse before they get better. Things will get a little hotter before they get better.”

While urging Nigerians to be hopeful and get ready to grab the many opportunities that would come their way this year, he said, “because the wind is blowing means things will get better

“Some people will start as nobody but will become significant before the middle of the year.”

Speaking further, the general overseer said there would be divine interventions in parts of the world where things are hot at the moment.

He also prophesied that there would be breakthroughs at the global level in the treatment of diseases like cancer, diabetes hypertension and others.

“On the international level, there will be breakthroughs for incurable diseases like cancer, diabetes and others. There will be divine intervention in the parts of the world where things are hot.,” he prophesied.

Over the years, it has become a tradition for Nigerian pastors to engage in the annual ritual of releasing prophecies for the new year.

Some of Adeboye’s prophesies in 2023, include the world experiencing relatively more peaceful, 2023 being a year of many opportunities.

He also prophesied that many troublemakers would lose the ability to make trouble during the year, this, he tagged his favourite.

From pulpit to the throne: Adeboye speaks on Olaoye’s decision to become Soun of Ogbomoso

The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, on Sunday explained why he refused to stop Pastor Afolabi Olaoye from contesting Soun of Ogbomoso’s stool.

Adeboye, while speaking at the interdenominational thanksgiving services for the traditional ruler at Beulah Baptist Conference, Ogbomoso, said Olaoye was destined to be a king.

Olaoye was a senior pastor in RCCG before being selected and approved for the Soun’s stool. He will receive his staff of office as the 21st Soun of Ogbomoso on Dec. 19.

The cleric, who was replying critics, who queried him for not stopping Olaoye from vying for the position of his forebears in Ogbomoso, said he could not stand against the will of God.

“When he came to inform me about the development, I told him to go and pray.

“Shortly after, he came back and said he has not heard anything and I told him to go back and pray again.

“After a while, he came back and said that God has spoken to him and have heard him loud and clear that he should go ahead.

“It was then that I told him to go because it has been destined, I knew that long ago, but I want God to speak to him directly.

“To my critics, if I said No and God said Yes, whose word is the final, God of course.

“So, I cannot stop him because Pastor Olaoye was destined to be a king even before he was born and thank God it is coming into fruition,” he said.

Adeboye, in his sermon, reading from Act of Apostles Chapter 15 verse18, counseled the traditional ruler to embrace the people and promote peace and unity among his subjects.

After the sermon, Pastor Adeboye anointed the king and his wife and prayed for his peaceful and prosperous reign as Soun.

Oba Olaoye, while addressing the congregation said, “Pastor Adeboye is my spiritual role model. He has been a father to me; it’s an unforgivable sin if anyone reports me to Pastor Adeboye.

“I am happy that the person who laid a hand on me to become a pastor is the same, who anointed me when I became a king.

“To my people in Ogbomoso, let us work together, let us develop this land and let’s make this land a place, where our sons and daughters will be proud of, I believe it’s a new dawn for Ogbomoso.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that group of clergymen offered special prayers for the Royal father, Ogbomoso, Oyo State and Nigeria in general.

The clergymen include President, Nigerian Baptist Convention, Rev. Israel Akanji; Bishop Titus Olayinka, Archbishop Ayo Ladigbolu, Pastor J.S. Adegoke, and Rev Solomon Isola.

Other men of God are former President of the seminary, Prof. Nihinlola Emiola, Rev. Stephen Ayankeye, Bishop Ademola Moradeyo , Titus Olayinka, Bishop of Anglican Church, Rev Johnson Adeniji, Prophet Akintola and Baba Awoye, among others.

DJ Switch kicks as Pastor Adeboye prays for Nigeria

One of the leading agitators during the #ENDSARS protests, DJ Switch, has challenged the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor EA Adeboye, over the way he prays for Nigeria.

Adeboye again prayed for the country as it marks its 63rd Independence anniversary.

In a tweet, DJ Switch wondered why Adeboye does not allegedly challenge bad rulers instead of praying.

She argued: She tweeted: “Pastor Adeboye constantly urging Nigerians to pray for Nigeria… but rarely calls out the cause of Nigeria’s woes! Rarely calls them out for a failure to serve. The Jesus you worship served and called out corruption point blank! Some of una go say touch not my anointed! Anointing wey no dey anoint.”

DJ Switch’s post followed a few hours after the 81-year-old cleric on the occasion of Nigeria’s Independence on Sunday, October 1, passionately prayed for the country that God would heal the nation and give her a new beginning.

During his ministration on “Freedom Indeed” on Sunday, October 1, at the RCCG Headquarters, the Throne of Grace, Ebute-meta, he prayed for the nation, political leaders, leaders of different parastatals, judiciary, government functionaries, prisoners and captives (both physical and spiritual) with their families, admonished Nigerians to seek for true and total freedom.

He asserted that since man is composed of a spirit, a soul, and a body and that he is a spirit or a soul residing in a body, according to the scriptures, he is a tripartite entity who can be subjugated in any of his three parts.

Followers of Adeboye’s calling will, however, note that he has sometimes called out rulers on bad policies and programmes.
He, for instance, did this during the destabilising naira devaluation orchestrated by the Godwin Emefiele-led Central Bank of Nigeria.

Adeboye to RUN graduates: Don’t allow the world and its lusts to distract to you

Pastor Enoch Adeboye,  General Overseer,  Redeemed Christian Church of God, on Thursday urged graduands of the Redeemer’s University (RUN), Ede, Osun, to practise holiness at all times.
Adeboye gave the charge at the 15th Convocation Ceremony of the university.
The cleric was represented  by Pastor Olukayode Pitan, the Chairman  of  the Board of Trustees of the university.
Adeboye also urged the graduands to shun all forms of lust.
He added that they should  be humble and love God and His Word.
” As you exit the university, don’t allow the world and its lusts to distract to you.
“Practise godliness and humility, and be  lovers of God and his Word,” he said.
In his remarks, the Vice-Chancellor of the university, Prof. Anthony Akinlo,  said that the university graduated 750  undergraduate and postgraduate students at the convocation.
Akinlo said that the university awarded postgraduate diploma to 39 graduands, Master’s degree to 91, Master of Philosophy  to one, and  Doctor of Philosophy to seven.
The vice-chancellor also said that 44  students made first class while 290 graduated with second class (upper division).
 According to him,  Mr Josiah Owojuyigbe of the mass communication department is  the overall best graduating students, with   cumulative grade point average of 4.93.
Akinlo said that, in line its policy,  the university would give Owojuyigbe the position of a graduate assistant in addition to a full scholarship for a postgraduate programme tenable in the university.
He urged the graduands to be good ambassador of the university.
“As graduates of the prestigious Redeemer’s University, let those unique life-changing values you have imbibed intellectually and spiritually be your permanent attributes,”  he said.
The Pro-Chancellor of the university,  Pastor Ezekiel Odeyemi, said that the institution had been ranked one of the best private universities in the country.
Odeyemi praised the graduands for  discipline and decorum which, he said, promoted  peace in the university.
In his valedictory speech, the overall best students,  Owojuyigbe, said that he wept when  he was informed of his performance.
He said that he was overwhelmed by the faithfulness of God in his life as he did not consider himself to be special.
He said that he spent almost four years at the University of Ibadan College of Medicine before studying mass communication at RUN.
Owojuyigbe described his feat  a miracle.

From Adeboye, an uncommon miracle for the naira. Says it will be stronger than the dollar

If the prediction of the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) is to be embraced, almost every Nierian should burst out dancing now. The great man of God has said has foreseen a miracle ahead of the naira which, according to him, will soon bounce back and compete favourably with the naira. Only those who should reject it are those benefitting from the intrigues that make it exchange N900 plus to a dollar.

Well, those abroad, who earns voluminous naira from tiny dollars they send home, may also worry about the miracle. Joking apart, however, a majority of them will also want Nigeria to change for the better since home is supreme.

Besides, the words of a man of God like Adeboye ought to be that of God. There should, therefore, be no cause to doubt or reject it especially on a crucial matter like that of the naira vis a vis the economy. While doubting Thomases and core realists would thus laugh at the prediction, it may be wise for one to claim and embrace it since it is to the benefit of all. President Bola Tinubu must actually claim the prophecy with all his heart then take necessary steps to make it real.

During the Sunday 4 monthly service tagged Uncommon Miracles at the church, Adeboye said: “The days when Naira will be stronger will come back; those glorious days will return when that happens you will know.”

Adeboye noted that miracles connoted something that is unique, stressing that a lot of times they may not be comprehensible by many.

He explained how God granted him usual testimonies, some of which many people couldn’t believe.

“Miracle is totally unusual. God can give you a miracle that will be difficult to share,” added the revered man of God.

Adeboye speaks on alleged demons at Redemption Camp

“I normally do not pay attention to the sayings of  the so -called prophets, particularly if they are saying something about me, I just ignore them.

“I learnt that recently some people were saying that I am using demonic forces, that there are some demons at the  Redemption Camp.”

Pastor Enoch Adeboye, General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), has called on Christians, especially his church members, to pray against  fresh wars, within and outside the country’s  borders.

Adeboye made the  call during the church’s 71st Annual Convention Holy Ghost Service,  tagged “Beyond Expectations ” on Friday night in Mowe, Ogun State.

He said  the country was  already fighting many  “wars ”  ,such as   kidnapping, terrorism and killings 

“Surely, we don’t want more wars, we want to win the ones we are fighting, not fresh ones whether inside or within our borders.

“Those of you who believe in peace in every section, should stand up and pray to say ,” Father,have mercy on Nigeria because of those of us who are your children’ ”.

“I encourage you all, God still answers prayers, do not be discouraged because tomorrow will be alright,do not be distracted. Nigeria still needs a lot of prayers,” he said.

Adeboye also urged church members to pray against manifestation of devil’s activities in the country .

“So he does not spoil God’s name and lead several innocent people to hell.

“Then, you will add to the prayer, Father but if this boy (Adeboye) is using your power alone, then multiply that power seven folds.

“I normally do not pay attention to the sayings of  the so -called prophets, particularly if they are saying something about me, I just ignore them.

“I learnt that recently some people were saying that I am using demonic forces, that there are some demons at the  Redemption Camp.

“They said, I will consult them(demons), then I will come and say, my daddy said, I feel I will not pay attention, but I learnt it is on the internet,”Adeboye said.

The cleric  said the church’s  Holy Ghost Service  next month would be dedicated to those trusting God for the fruit of the womb .

“I believe God that there will be a lot of twins, triplets and many more,

“God does not know how to do small things and does not stop when your cup of blessings is full.

“Anytime, God is dealing with you, He  wants to go the extra mile,because God has a way of changing shame to glory.

“If God says, promote this fellow,that person must be promoted, but you must be committed to the work of God,”Adeboye said.

The News Agency of Nigeria reports that thousands of worshippers all over the world connected to the service online.

The  programme ,which started on Aug.7 will ends on  Aug.13.

No fewer than 66 babies , comprising 31 females and 31 males, have so far been delivered at the ongoing convention.

May I die before the sun rises if I use demonic powers – Adeboye

The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has  sworn by his life that he has no deal with demonic powers.

A man who attends a white-garment church had recently claimed that Adeboye bamboozles his followers with demonic powers.

But in reaction to this on Friday, during the church’s programme at the Redemption Camp, Mowe, Adeboye told the congregation:
