British TV personality and journalist, Piers Morgan, has countered Lionel Messi’s victory as the FIFA Men’s Player of the Year.
Van Dijk finished runner-up to Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo came third, while Liverpool manager, Jurgen Klopp, was named men’s coach of the year.
Reacting to the news, Morgan said the Juventus forward had triumphed in 3 of the world’s toughest leagues and had also helped Portugal win trophies.

According to a tweet of his, the duo can’t be compared until Messi makes history outside “his Barcelona comfort zone”.
