Street act, Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has sent an apology note to the Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) for spraying money on his fans.
It appears that the six-month prison sentence imposed on crossdresser Okuneye Idris, popularly known as Bobrisky, has made most Nigerians, particularly celebrities who frequently spray naira in public, to be more cautious.
Another socialite, Cubana Chief Priest, is being tried for naira abuse.
In his case, Portable once said he offered his fans cash worth N2 million regularly.
Announcing that he would only be making transfers, Portable urged his fans to get bank accounts and said he would no longer be spraying money.
He said, “I didn’t deface the Naira. I help a lot of people, After God na Government. Please, forgive me if you have videos of me spraying money, no more spraying of money.”
