The Lagos State Police Command has explained why it did not arraign controversial singer, Naira Marley, on Tuesday.
He is implicated in the case of actress Funke Akindele, who was sentenced to community service on Monday for holding a party during coronavirus lockdown.
Marley, as well as Babatunde Gbadamosi, an opposition politician, were at the party and have had to submit themselves to the police.
‘The Nation’ quotes Bala Elkana, police PRO, as saying that lagos courts did not sit on Tuesday.
“I don’t know who proposed today. They will be arraigned, but no court is sitting today. Courts don’t sit today. They have days they sit now because of this Coronavirus. They sat yesterday (Monday), the next sitting will be tomorrow (Wednesday),” Elkana said.
