4 regulatory bodies coming as Sanwo-Olu signs electricity bill into law

As Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State  officially signs the Lagos Electricity Bill into law, four regulatory bodies are expected to be established soon to oversee the development.

Among these are the Lagos State Electricity Regulatory Commission and the Lagos State Independent Electricity Operator.

Amid high hopes, the Lagos state Deputy Governor Kadri Hamzat, members of the State assembly, as well as the state executive council members were at the Lagos House Alausa Ikeja for the signing on Tuesday.

This was disclosed by Jubril Gawat, the Senior Special Assistant on New Media to the Lagos State Governor.

Governor Sanwo-Olu commended the state House of Assembly for ensuring the speedy passage of the bill, stressing that the bill will change the socio-economic value of citizens in Lagos State.
