The All Progressives Congress is leading in the results of the 16 local governments that the Independent Electoral Commission has so far collated.
Its candidate in the governorship election, Monday Ekpebholo, has garnered 244,549 votes while his close rival, Asue Ighodalo, has 195,954.
These results, as approved by the Independent National Electoral Commission, are computed for the candidates of the All Progressives Congress, Monday Okpebholo; the Peoples Democratic Party’s Asue Ighodalo, and the Labour Party’s Olumide Akpata.
INEC has, however, shifted the collation of votes from the remaining two local governments to 5pm, when they would have been in.
