A new gospel anthem, Blessed Art Thou Son Of David, is  stirring hearts and lifting spirits across the globe.

According to its creators, the song is more than just a melody — it’s a sacred call to worship, saturated with Scripture and spiritual depth.

The track features world-renowned worship leader Nathaniel Bassey, who is celebrated for his spirit-filled songs and signature trumpet sound.

The production team shared that Bassey’s contribution brought emotional depth and purity to the song, helping create an atmosphere where listeners could genuinely encounter the presence of God.

They explained that the use of words like Iba — a Yoruba term that conveys deep reverence and obedience  —  reflects the song’s desire to usher listeners into a space of awe before God.

Though the song was likely produced in Nigeria, the team emphasised that its message transcends geography and language.

Whether listeners are worshiping in Lagos, London, or Los Angeles, the theme remains consistent , a heartfelt expression of the glory, majesty, and honor due to Jesus.

The song was released at a time many people, according to the team, are desperately seeking hope, healing, and a fresh encounter with God.

They described it as a peaceful spiritual interlude in a world filled with noise, a gentle reminder that God’s presence still fills the temple today, just as it did in biblical times.

However, the team admitted that the creation process came with its own challenges. From blending different musical styles and languages to ensuring theological accuracy, they said, the journey required prayer, persistence, and refinement.

Crafting the Yoruba lines to ensure clear pronunciation and broad understanding was a delicate process, as was balancing diverse creative inputs and fine-tuning every vocal and instrumental element to reflect God’s heart.

When asked why the song matters, the creators pointed to a deeper purpose.

They  this generation craved more than music,  it longed for truth, presence, and purpose.

The title draws directly from the desperate cry of a blind man in Scripture: Blessed art thou, Son of David! , a cry that moved Jesus to respond. Through this song, they hope to echo that same cry today, pointing listeners back to the One who still heals, still listens, and still reigns.

Ekuri discloed this at a news conference organised as part of the 2023 activities marking the Divine Manifestation of the Sole Spiritual Leader of BCS, Olumba Olumba Obu.

He explained that millions of people would be reached out to and charity activities would be conducted all over the world with cash gifts, food and clothing, among other gestures.

He explained that the group was founded to promote brotherhood and humanitarian services to the less privilege and downtrodden in the society.

“This is irrespective of religion, nationality, culture and race to the 2023 edition of the celebration of the divine manifestation of Olumba Olumba Obu,” he said.

Besides, Ekuri emphasised that the brotherhood was established to unite the human family in love, peace, unity, truth and righteousness.

“The brotherhood is known as the Spiritual School of Practical Christianity. The World Headquarters of the Brotherhood is Calabar, Cross Rivers State,” he said.

According to him, the society holds women in high esteem, as they are given high positions to operate among themselves, and that there is no racism in the brotherhood.

Similarly, Ekuri stated that sidelines of the activities of the programmes include fasting and charity works by members worldwide in their places of domicile.

“They will go out on charity activities and visitation to orphanages, destitute homes and carryout activities to support the less privileged at their various locations,” he added.

According to him, the fitfth edition of the Annual Public Lecture will take place, with the theme entitled: “The Impact of God’s Manifestation on Human Civilisation”, with notable scholars from universities and scholars of Theology.

He explained that the lecture series serve to draw the attention of leaders and the entire humanity to the exemplary lifestyle of Olumba Olumba Obu.

Ekuri underscored the importance of global peace, unity and security wellbeing, urging world leaders and government to embrace global peace through the doctrines of the BCS.

“World leaders should embrace divine precepts of the brotherhood of man where all forms of discrimination shall cease to exist,” he said.

He therefore warned against idol worshipping, while lamenting that Satanism is the order of the day, teaching false doctrine and introducing idol worshipping.
