Remains of television drama producer, Asiwaju Benson Akindeju, will be buried this week.
According to a statement by his family, his corpse will arrive Muritala Muhammed International Airport on Wednesday 27th March from London where he passed on about two weeks ago,
Service of songs will come up at his residence; 11, Otukoya, Street, Asolo, Ikorodu, Lagos by 5pm.
The statement reads, “On Thursday 28th March 2019, there will be a commendation service at St Paul’s Anglican Church, Ajaguro, Isawo Road, Opposite Ori-Okuta Junction, Ikorodu, Lagos by 9am. Thereafter, his body will leave for his hometown. Igbotako, Okitipupa, Ondo State, where his wake will take place by from 5 pm.”
Benson’s burial service will come up at St John’s Anglican Church, Igbotako on Friday, 29th, March by 10am, after which his body will be laid to rest at the church’s cemetery.
Entertainment of guests will follow immediately at Community Grammar School, Igbotako.
The AK Media boss was a respected content producer with award winning television drama series. He passed on at the age of 59 on the 4th of March, 2019 in a London hospital after a brief illness.
He was the producer of ‘Face2Face’, ‘Family Ties’, ‘Nowhere to be Found’, ‘Liberty Villa’ and ‘Oyinmomo on DSTV’.
