The police on Thursday arraigned two men in a Life Camp Magistrates’ Court, Abuja, for allegedly destroying a customer’s phone screen valued at N85,000.
Simon Victor and Dorcas Thomas, who work at Mobile Outfitters Company, Jabi Lake Mall, Abuja, are charged with Joint act and mischief.
They however, pleaded not guilty to the charges preferred against them.
The Prosecution Counsel, Peter Ejike, told the court that the matter was reported at the Life Camp Police Station, Abuja, by one Adanma Ode of Mike Ahigbe Way, Jabi, Abuja on July 15.
Ejike alleged that Ode on July 2, took her Samsung S10 mobile phone to the defendants office to fix the screen guard.
The prosecutor in addition alleged that instead of fixing the guard, the defendants broke the screen of the phone valued at N85,000.
According to him, the offence contravened the provisions of sections 79 and 327 of the Penal Code.
Magistrate Chinyere Nwecheonwu admitted them to bail in the sum of N200, 000, each, with one surety each in like sum.
Nwecheonwu adjourned the case until Aug. 31, for hearing.
