Minister o Niger Delta Affairs, Goodwill Akpabio, has said that the allegation that N40bn is missing from the Niger Delta Development Commission is missing is false.
He said it was not possible for such money to be missing during the Buhari administration that operates the single TSA accounting system.
According to him, mismanagement could happen before the All Progressives Congress administration when, he said the NDDC operated up to 300 accounts.
Akpabio said this during his ongoing appearance before the House of Representatives Committee probing the finances of the commission.
Akpabio said he had never taken any money from the NDDC, adding that he had never done any contract for it.
He had earlier said that he never asked anyone to take an oath, apparently referring to the former Acting Managing Director of the commission, Joi Nunieh, who said he did.
