Chairman of the COVID-19 Taskforce Imo, Professor Maurice Iwu, has on Wednesday June 10, confirmed the death of the first COVID-19 patient in the state.
According to him, the victim had underlying health issues before he was brought to the isolation centre.
As at Wednesday, Imo had 83 confirmed cases of Coronavirus.
Iwu believes that the victim’s condition might have complicated his chances of survival.
