Popular actress, Genevieve Nnaji, has said that women are living in constant fear of men.
She is responding to the killing of two girls in the past few days in Nigeria.
These were 17-year-old Tina Ezekwe and Uwa Omozuwa, 22.
While Tina was shot dead by two police officers on May 26 in Iyana-Oworo, Uwa Omozuwa was raped inside a church where she went to read in Benin after which she died.
Apart from the many people who have expressed anger at the killings, Genevieve notes in a tweet on Sunday: “They either abuse their power, or have the power to abuse. In or out of uniform, we live in constant fear of men. Tina Ezekwe. Vera Omozuwa. Rest In Peace my darlings. We will get justice.”
