Minister of State for Education, Emeka Nwajuba, has given an indication that major changes will occur in the country’s schooling system due to the coronavirus disruptions.

According to him, schools will be broken down into morning and afternoon classes.

This, he said, would help in ensuring social distancing among students.

Nwajiuba made this known on Wednesday when he spoke on resumption plan, during the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 briefing.

He said there was no resumption date yet, adding that a date been circulated was mere fabrication.

“Until we are sure the children can go to school and return safely, we won’t ask them back. God forbid in our hurry something happens to our children. So we are not taking that risk yet,” he said.
