Lagos State on Thursday confirmed 87 new coronavirus cases, total now 947.
The Commissioner for Health Professor, Akin Abayomi, made this known in a Tweet.
He said “87 new #COVID19 cases were confirmed in Lagos on April 29, 2020.
“The good news is that 49 additional #COVID19 survivors have been discharged following their full recovery.
“The total number of discharged patients in Lagos now stands at 187,” he said.

He further said that 49 patients have bee discharged after testing negative for COVID-19 twice.
Abayomi advised residents to remain committed to observing necessary precautionary measures to stop COVID-19 infection.
He urged residents to be vigilant and report any concern about COVID-19 infection in their communities.
Lagos still remains the epicentre of Nigeria’s COVID-19 infection, with 722 active COVID-19 cases.
