Ole Gunnar Solskjaer appears to have taken a swipe on his predecessor Jose Mourinho saying he inherited a complete mess when he took over from the Portuguese manager, Mirror reports. The Norweigian took over from the Portuguese tactician in December 2018 after United’s record poor run of form. But Solskjaer was in charge of the side which pummeled LASK Linz 5-0 away from home in the Europa League.
Manchester United’s next game will be against Tottenham which means both managers will go face-to-face at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Since taking over from Mourinho at United in December 2018, Solskjaer has got rid of nine players and signed four permanently, in a complete overhaul of the squad.
Authorities in charge had to make the urgent decision after Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta and Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi contracted the coronavirus.
