The Kano State Government has announced the appointment o the Emir of Bichi, Aminu Ado Bayero, as the new Emir of Kano.
He replaced Muhammadu Sanusi II, who was dethroned a few hours ago.
The appointment takes immediate effect, according to the Secretary to the State Government, Usman Alhaji.
This is as Sanusi is said to have been arrested and banished to Nasarawa.
