The audacity that the Ogun State Governor, Ibikunle Amosun, seems to be wielding in the current dispensation has begun to pay off.
Against the wish of his many ‘enemies’, he has won the Ogun Central senatorial election after governing the state for eight eventful years.
Although he diversified into another party – APM – he yet contested and won on the platform of the APC.
Some has described his style as political prostitution; but h 
ere we are, the governor is winning.
The feat, observers would note, has a positive implication for him in the coming governorship election as he will have more confidence, time and energy to concentrate on pushing his candidate – not of his party APC – but Adekunle Akinlade of the APM.
Apart from winning the senatorial seat, President Muhammadu Buhari, for whom both the APC and APM are rooting, is also doing well in Ogun, based on the results that have been released so far.
For Ibikunle Amosun, therefore, the fruits of courage, effrontery and mixed loyalty may just be looming in a double-double package..

Amosun polled 88,110 votes to defeat Hon. Kayode Amusan of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) who scored 33,276 while his main challenger, Titi Oseni – Gomez of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) polled 37,101 votes.
