Onnoghen granted bail

The Code of Conduct Tribunal has granted the suspended Chief Justice of Nigeria, Walter Onnoghen, bail on self recognition.
It also set aside the order to him as it gave on Wednesday due to Onnoghen’s earlier refusal to appear before it.
At the tribunal on Friday, Danladi Umar, CCT chairman, said, “He must henceforth make himself available throughout the proceedings.”
Meanwhile, the CJN also pleaded not guilty to the six-count charge bordering on false declaration of assets.
Umar adjourned the matter till February 21 to hear all pending applications before the tribunal.
