There is confusion over the alleged sacking of the aides of the Vice President, Prof. Remi Osinbajo.
Some of the people involved have been denying he development saying they were still firmly at work.
‘The Punch’ reports that one of them, Ms Yosola Akinbi, said she was not sacked.
Yet, reports gave the name of Chief Obafemi Awolowo’s grandson, Babajide; and former Governor Ajimobi’s daughter, Ajibola, as among those booted out.
Akinbi was, however, reported to have said she was upset with the barrage of calls from her family members and friends seeking to know the truth about her job .
When asked whether she was either redeployed or relieved of her appointment, Akinbi through a WhatApp chat with one of our correspondents, denied the report.
She wrote, “Lol. Capital NO. I am in Ekiti State on a Human Capital Mission.
“I know my office will clarify. I am not on that list. I am not even SSA NEC. I am sure they will clarify it. Nothing (laughs).”
Some of the other aides who also spoke on the matter, including Ifeoluwa Adedayo and Told Asekun, denied being sacked.
The alleged sacking had been on social media until it was published by some daily papers, including ‘daily Trust’.
