Winner of the inaugural season of Idols West Africa in 2007, Timi Dakolo, has joined Virgin EMI Records, a record label under global music entertainment company, Universal Music Group.
The singer made the announcement in a post on Instagram.
“He said ‘Hello Timi, My name is @ted_cockle and I am the Chairman of Virgin EMI Records @virginemi 🇬🇧@universalmusicgroup. I just want to personally welcome you home,’” Timi wrote
Congratulating her husband on his new deal, Bukola, said: “My Baby is GLOBAL!!! God is faithful!”
Timi now joins the likes of Yemi Alade, Tiwa Savage, and Burna Boy to sign with Universal Music Group.
