The trans-state abduction syndrome has reared its head again as two children abducted in Gombe have been found in Anambra State, with a price tag of N750,000 on each of them.
The Anambra State Police Command said three people were being held over the matter.
These are Patience Opia from Cross River, Ejece Obi, from Anambra State and Blessings John from Bauchi State.
According to the ttate’s olice spokesperson, Haruna Mohammed, the children were playing in their parents’ compound when they were kidnapped.
While one of the suspects – Opia – allegedly claimed the children were hers, the kids were said to have recognised who their parents were after they turned up at the police station.
The father of the rescued kids, Abdulaziz Suleman, said they discovered their kids were found in Anambra through social media.
“I don’t know the lady apart from when she came to Onitsha and claimed that she was robbed by armed robbers. Also I didn’t know that there were price tags on the boys. I am just hearing about the N750,000 price for each of the boys. I am not aware of any intention to sell the boys,” Opia claimed while the police said investigation continued.
