A boy often tortured by his father has committed suicide in Ondo State.
The 17-year-old, Opeyemi Oluwafemi, was said to have run away from home some 10 days ago, only to be found hangbeen found hanging from a tree at Epe Ekiti in the Ijero Local Government Area of Ekiti State.
While the Ondo State Police Command has confirmed the incident, Oluwafemi’s neighbous said his body had started decomposing on the tree he hanged himself as they could not locate it on time.
The Police Public Relations Officer, Ekiti State Police Command, DSP Caleb Ikechukwu, was quoted as saying: “I can confirm to you that at around 1630hrs (4:30 p.m.) of 26/10/2019, the body of 17-year-old Opeyemi Oluwafemi was found hung on a tree in a nearby bush at Epe Ekiti.
“However, I cannot confirm at present if the father has been arrested, but investigation is ongoing”,
