One of the Nigerians attacked in the latest assault by some South Africans, Obinna Nwanachi, has recounted how he had a close shave with death.
According to him, but for desperate struggle he made, the assailants would have buried him alive in his shop.
In an interview monitored on Channels Television,
“I saw a lot of people rushing towards me. If I did not have a firearm to scare them, they would have burnt me alive,” Nwanachai said.
he lamented that he committed no offense that could make him the subject of such an assault.
Reports said it was a group of taxi drivers who launched the attack on Nigerians, wreaking havocs on their properties.
The crisis resulted from a claim by a lady who said a Nigerian held her for sexual exploits.
