Chelsea’s scoring guy Tammy Abraham had an unlucky experience on Saturday when the team played bulwark-building Newcastle in the EPL.
He hit the upright once while only the leg of a stubborn defender prevented his another shot from entering the net even after Newcastle’s keeper had scrambled away from post.
Marcos Alonso, however, broke the jinx for Chelsea at a time it was looking as if they were in for a barren draw.
The lone goal gave Frank Lampard the much needed three points.
While almost everyone was on point for Chelsea, the man of the match may be Williams based on the energy, mobility and precision he displayed throughout the match.
In another match Tottenham had a close shave with defeat as it was only towards the end that they could cancel the one goal that Watford got in the first half.
