In the heat of the Xenophobia question occasioned by the hostilities in South Africa, founder of UBA, Tony Elumelu, has challenged Africans to see poverty as their greatest enemies, not fellow Africans.
In a reflection on the vision behind UBA and the growth process it has undergone, Elumelu recalled how it grew from the city-focused Standard Trust to a nationwide and now continental institution spreading the gospel of wealth.
