If you don’t want to call celebrated actress Toyin Abrahams by her name again, you can now call her ‘Mummy Ire’.
The reason is that the name of her newborn is Ire.
The actress, now married to actor Kola Ajeyemi, revealed this today in an IG post in which she exudes joy and ample gratitude.
She noted: “We are super grateful for the love, care and gifts we have gotten since the arrival of our baby, IRE. The love has been surreal, the care has been enormous and the gifts keep coming. I pray that God will reward us all for all you did for us. He will pay you all back for the love care and gifts. We will all continue to rejoice for the rest of the year.”
In English, Ire means goodness – and other positive things related to it: joy, success, good luck, fulfillment etc.
As a result, in Yorubaland, ire can be Iremide (my goodness has come), Irewole (goodness has entered our house) and Ireayo (joyful goodness).
Names of other Hollywood actors who were also delivered of babies last week are being awaited.
