The distance that death has created between Kira Taiwo, daughter of veteran actor Taiwo Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo, is hurting her badly.
She has cried loud that she needs a hug with him badly.
Kira expressed the wish as she marked her father’s first posthumous birthday with an emotional tribute.
On her Instagram page on Saturday, October 31, Kira shared a tearful video celebrating her late father, who would have turned 67.
Ogogo, born on October 31, 1959, in Ilaro, Ogun State, died on August 23, 2026, at the age of 66 after battling stage-four cancer.
The actor was one of the most respected figures in Yoruba Nollywood, with a career spanning over four decades.
In the video, she broke down in tears as a photo of herself and her father appeared, and she poured out her heart in a touching caption.
“Happy heavenly birthday to my daddy. I want to hug you so badly. May Allah grant you Al-Jannah Firdaus. Ameen. I love you forever Taiyelolu mi… Agunloye bi oyinbo agunleyinju oko ayaba, omo Iya ala Abogunloko maberu ija. OGOGO OMO KULODO,” she wrote.
The post has since drawn reactions from fans and colleagues, who joined her in praying for the repose of the late actor.
