Ekiti State Governor Biodun Oyebanji has sought the House of Assembly’s approval to reappoint three commissioners who served during his first term and appoint 10 special advisers.

The requests were contained in a letter addressed to the Speaker of the assembly, Adeoye Aribasoye, on Monday, according to a statement issued by the governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Yinka Oyebode, on Tuesday in Ado-Ekiti.

The nominees for reappointment are Dayo Apata (SAN), Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice; Akintunde Oyebode, Commissioner for Finance; and Oyebanji Filani, Commissioner for Health and Human Services.

The governor urged the assembly to screen and confirm the nominees to enable them resume their duties in the new administration.

The proposed reappointments are expected to ensure continuity in the justice, finance and health sectors as the administration begins its second term.

Oyebanji was inaugurated for a second term on October 16 and recently approved appointments in the power, road infrastructure and transportation sectors.
