American Actor, Gavin Casalegno, has taken his interest in Formula One beyond the screen, stepping into the world of Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS at the team’s Fan Hub in Austin, Texas, during the United States Grand Prix weekend.
Best known for playing Jeremiah Fisher in The Summer I Turned Pretty, Casalegno joined the Mercedes experience after developing an interest in the team over the summer.
The actor got a taste of life behind the scenes by taking on a pit-stop challenge, giving him a chance to experience the speed, teamwork and precision required of a Formula One pit crew.
The Mercedes Fan Hub, located at 400 Congress Avenue in downtown Austin, opened from October 22 to 25, bringing fans closer to the sport through interactive activities.
Visitors could try pit-stop challenges, race on simulators, view a Mercedes show car and explore the team’s history.
The experience offered Casalegno and other visitors a different way to connect with Formula One beyond watching the drivers compete on the track.
For the actor, the visit added another chapter to his growing interest in motorsport, as Mercedes turned its race-week presence into an opportunity for fans and celebrities to experience the action up close.
