From Davido standing beside his close friend to a guest list filled with Nigerian entertainment stars, Zlatan Ibile and Davita Lamai’s traditional wedding became one of the weekend’s biggest celebrity events.
Held in Lagos on Saturday, October 24, the ceremony brought together music stars, actors, influencers and socialites to celebrate the couple, who have two sons together.
One of the major highlights was Davido’s role as a groomsman. Rather than attending as just another celebrity guest, the singer stood alongside Zlatan on his big day, showing support for a friendship that has continued beyond music.
Davido also caught attention with his arrival and his warm greeting to Zlatan’s parents. His presence added to the excitement surrounding the celebration, with videos and pictures from the event spreading across social media.
The guest list was equally impressive. Music stars Phyno, Teni, Peruzzi, Reekado Banks and K1 De Ultimate were among those who attended. Actress Iyabo Ojo, comedians Broda Shaggi and Cute Abiola, and content creators Enioluwa Adeoluwa, Carter Efe and Berri Tiga were also present.
Beyond the celebrity appearances, the couple’s traditional outfits added colour to the occasion. They first appeared in Edo-inspired attire decorated with coral beads before changing into coordinated mint-green and cream outfits inspired by Yoruba tradition.
The celebration also offered a glimpse into the couple’s relationship, which they have largely kept private despite their years together and growing family.
With Davido standing by his friend, prominent entertainers filling the guest list and traditional fashion taking centre stage, Zlatan and Davita’s wedding was more than a celebrity gathering. It was a celebration of friendship, family and culture that kept fans talking throughout the weekend.
